Professor David Adiv concerns go beyond teaching an individual how to fight, to defend oneself and to fight for fitness, recreational and/or professional purposes. It encircles the whole individual. The seminar "Foundation of Natural Breathing and Body Mechanics" is a must for any fighter and is great for all persons wishing to learn ways to achieve a higher level of awareness, to manage stressful situations and to improve overall fitness and wellness.
David Adiv, would like to thank everyone who have participated at this event on Jan 17th. The response on the seminar contents was quite overwhelming and the requests to have it more often keep coming, along with requests of those who did not make it, therefore, we will be holding more of this seminar throughout the year. Stay tuned for the dates. The next one is on February 16th, 2010 at 7:30pm. Contact us for more information and to register.
What some of the participants have to say about it:
"The breathing seminar was beneficial to me for several reasons. First, I was in Pittsburgh, PA on Sunday morning and had to drive five and a half hours to attend the seminar. When I arrived at the academy I was a little tired and stiff from the long drive. After doing the initial breathing exercises I felt rejuvenated and limber. Secondly, during the course of the week I was working out outside of the academy and I noticed that I was breathing more efficiently. Thirdly, when training in Jiu Jitsu I am becoming aware of coordinating my breathing with specific movements. I attribute these positive results to Professor Adiv's almost three hour long seminar in which he made us concentrate on breathing while warming up and exercising as well as breathing correctly while doing specific Jiu Jitsu movements. I recommend the clinic for everyone that did not attend. I am now more conscious of my breathing and I hope through constant practice I will breathe correctly when training." Nick D., student at GNJA
"I honestly felt that teaching "breath" was something best reserved for an environment such as a private and not really for a seminar. But, Professor Adiv showed otherwise when he walked around to each student and individually examined their techniques and showed us, up close, how to properly breath; even though I am not training regularly, it was inspiring to experience." Przemek P., student
"Thank you for putting on this seminar and inviting other RGDA Students to attend. I have been training for over 2 and half years and this was the first seminar that I have attended which examines other facets contributing to make one a well rounded jiu jitsu practitioner. The topics of “Breathing and Body Mechanics” covered in the seminar attracted me as soon as I learned of it. I train 3 times a week and I have been looking for other things to open up “my jiu jitsu mind” that would also help improve my performance and my well being on the mat as well as off. Warm Regards to You and all other Colleagues and Friends at RGDA HQ." Leo G., student at EBJJ Academy
